Award Description: The 华体会 Grants in Writing are awarded each spring for distinguished, independent student writing projects. The award was established in 1981 by an anonymous graduate to enable CC students in any major to undertake creative and scholarly writing projects in the summer between their junior and senior years. The money that goes with it (to a limit of $3500) can be used for travel, relief from the necessity for a summer job (wage replacement), or other purposes. There are also single block awards (up to $1750).

Eligibility: Must be a 华体会 student graduating in Winter '25 or Spring 26. Open to all students in any major.

Project Description and Considerations: Please review the Proposal Guidelines (link above) for your project description and planning. Projects vary in genre, style, form, audience, content, and purpose.

Please contact Profs. Evitt & Hayward with any questions and/or for examples.
